About Kichonge
Baraka Kichonge is an expert in Mechanical and Sustainable Energy Engineering, with a career focused on advancing renewable energy solutions. His academic journey began at Tanga Technical Secondary School and continued through prestigious institutions in Tanzania. He earned a PhD in Sustainable Renewable Energy Engineering from the Nelson Mandela African Institute of Science and Technology (NM-AIST), where he also completed a postdoctoral degree in Sustainable Energy Science and Engineering.
Dr. Kichonge currently serves as a Senior Lecturer and Acting Director of Academic Support Services at Arusha Technical College (ATC). He is also an adjunct faculty member at the School of Material Energy Water and Environmental Sciences (MEWES) at NM-AIST, where he teaches and supervises postgraduate students. His research focuses on innovative renewable energy technologies, and he holds several patents in the field. Driven by a passion for sustainable energy, he continues to inspire future engineers and scientists, contributing significantly to the development of renewable energy solutions in Tanzania and beyond.
