The mission of ATC is to provide Competence-Based Technical Education and Training and carry out research and consultancy in science and technology for socio-economic development.  Our vision is to become a centre of excellence in training, research and consultancy in science and technology in Africa by 2020.

We are pleased to announce and advertise our short courses training programmes for the academic year 2017/2018. Our programmes offer a wide range of professional as well as tailor made training. These training programmes are for both organizations and individuals. The training process involves a detailed course work as well as a lot of practical so as to enable participants to grasp more knowledge and apply it without difficulty.

 ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

 BACHELOR DEGREE PROGRAMMES

  1. Bachelor of Engineering in Civil and Irrigation Engineering (B.ENG. CIE)

 

Entry Requirements

Holders of Ordinary Diploma (NTA level 6) in Civil Engineering OR Civil and Irrigation Engineering OR Transportation/highway Engineering OR Water Supply and Sanitation OR irrigation Engineering all with at least GPA of 3.0 and at least four O’- Level passes (Ds and above) and one of these passes must be mathematics

OR

Holders of Full Technician Certificate (FTC) in Civil Engineering OR Transportation/Highway Engineering OR Water Supply and Sanitation OR irrigation Engineering all with at least average of C grade (3 points) and at least four O’-Level passes (Ds and above) and one of these passes must be mathematics

  1. Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Biomedical Engineering (B.ENG. EBE)

Entry Requirements

Holders of Ordinary Diploma (NTA level 6) in Electrical and Biomedical Engineering/Biomedical Engineering OR Electronics Engineering or Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering all with at least GPA of 3.0 and at least four O’-Level passes (Ds and above) and two of these passes must be mathematics and Biology

  1. Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT) or Bachelor of Computer Science (BCS)

Entry Requirements-Form Six

At least two principal passes in Physics, Mathematics, Geography, Biology, Chemistry, Economics  with total points not below 4.0 obtained from the scoring: A = 5, B = 4, C=3, D=2, E=1, S=0.5 or any other scoring recognized by TCU

Entry Requirements-Ordinary Diploma (NTA Level 6)

At least four O’-Level passes (Ds and above) OR NVA Level III with not less than four O’-Level passes OR equivalent foreign qualifications as established by either NECTA OR VETA; AND  i) At least a GPA of 3.0 for Ordinary Diploma in Science and Allied Technologies  (NTA Level 6); OR  ii) Average of B for Full Technician

Certificate (FTC) in Science and Allied Technologies (where A=5, B=4, C=3,and D=2 points

 

  1. ORDINARY DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES

 Laboratory Sciences and Technology; or Computer Science; or Information Technology; or Auto-electrical & Electronic Engineering; or Automotive Engineering; or Civil Engineering; or Civil & Irrigation Engineering; or Electrical Engineering; or Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering; or Mechanical Engineering; or Civil and Highway Engineering; or Electrical and Biomedical Engineering.

 

Entry Requirements

    1. Holders of Certificate of Secondary ExaminationEducation (CSEE) with a minimum of four (4) passes of “D” grades in Physics or Engineering Science, Mathematics, Chemistry, and English.

    1. Applicants of Laboratory Sciences & Technology and Electrical and Biomedical Engineering programmes must have passed Biology in addition to the above requirement

    2. Applicants of Computer Science or Information Technology must have minimum of four (4) passes of grade “D” in any subjects excluding Religious, Nutrition, and Needle work

    3. For a holder of Certificate in Information Technology (IT) or Computer Science (CS) aspiring to join Diploma in Information and Technology and Computer Science should apply direct to the college. A holder with certificate qualification will be admitted into NTA level 5 (Technician Certificate Award leading to Ordinary Diploma Award for two (2) years.

 

  1. BASIC TECHNICIAN CERTIFICATE PROGRAMMES

Lapidary and Jewelry Technology, or Information Technology

 

Entry Requirements

Must be holders of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with minimum of four (4) passes of grade “D” in any subject excluding Religious, Nutrition, and Needle work

  1. Applicant aspiring to apply for Ordinary Diploma and Basic Technician Certificate Programmes offered by Arusha Technical College should apply through NACTE Central Admission System www.nacte.go.tz. The college will provide a helpdesk for support to all applicants wish to join ATC on how to apply online through NACTE system. An applicant should pay application fee as indicated by NACTE.
